The Inn and other buildings are open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., May through October, with the last tour beginning at 3:30.
Tours are: $6 Adults; $4 Youths (7-17); Children (6 and under) No Charge
Knowledgeable guides tell the many stories of King’s Boatyard and the Netherland family. Paid group tours are available weekdays by appointment, and special events occur throughout the year.
Netherland Inn Opening Day – May 1, 2021
After a long, cold winter, the 213 year-old Netherland Inn will once again open its doors on May 1, for the 2021 season with tours of the historic Inn and Pioneer Transportation Museum.
Hours are 1p.m.-4 p.m. Guided Tours on the hour: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Admission is $7 Adults; $4 Youths (7-17); Children (6 and under) No Charge
Built in the early 1800’s, Netherland Inn is the only nationally registered historic site to have served as both a boat yard and a stagecoach stop. It is considered a Gateway to the West and is the birthplace of the City of Kingsport. In its years as a stagecoach stop, the Inn has hosted such notable guests as Presidents Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson, and James K. Polk.
Netherland Inn is located at 2144 Netherland Inn Road, Kingsport. Parking is available behind the Inn and on Lilac Street just off Netherland Inn Rd.
